This page explains what NearshoreDesk collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than the usual thing.

The short version: this website has no forms, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and it sets no cookies. Almost everything below is about what happens when you deliberately contact us — by booking a call, sending an email, or applying for a job.

1. Who we are

NearshoreDesk places bilingual receptionists and operations coordinators from Bolivia with small businesses in the United States and Canada. We operate from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and serve clients in North America.

For anything on this page, including a request to delete your data, write to info@nearshoredesk.com. A person reads it.

2. What this website itself collects

Nothing you type. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no chat widget, no analytics and no advertising pixel on this site, and it sets no cookies. That is why you were not asked to accept any.

Two technical exceptions, stated honestly

  • Server logs. Our host, Hostinger, records standard web-server information when a page is served — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is automatic, applies to every website, and we use it only to keep the site running and secure.
  • Fonts. This page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and basic browser information. It sets no cookie and we receive nothing from it, but it is a third-party connection and you deserve to know it happens.

3. If you book a call with us

Our booking links go to Cal.com, which handles the scheduling. When you book, you give Cal.com your name, email address, the time you chose, and answers to a few questions about your business — roughly what your administrative workload looks like and what you need.

We use it to prepare for the call and to follow up afterwards. The booking also appears in our own business calendar. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

4. If you email us

We keep the correspondence so we can pick up where we left off. Nothing more happens to it. If you would rather we deleted the thread, ask and we will.

5. If you apply for a job with us

We recruit through job advertisements, including forms hosted on Facebook and Instagram. If you apply, we receive what you put in the form:

  • Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
  • The city you live in and whether you can work on site
  • Your own assessment of your English, your availability, and your experience
  • Anything you write in the open question — and, if we move forward, a short video you record and send us

We use it to decide who to interview, and we contact shortlisted candidates on WhatsApp. If you are not selected, we may keep your application for up to 12 months in case a suitable role opens, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We never share your application with a client without telling you first.

We will never ask a job applicant for money. Not for training, not for equipment, not for a background check, not for anything. If someone claiming to be NearshoreDesk asks you to pay, it is not us — please tell us at info@nearshoredesk.com.

6. The companies that process data for us

We are a small business and we use ordinary tools rather than building our own. Each of these sees only the part of the picture it needs, and each has its own privacy policy:

Service What it handles
HostingerWebsite hosting and our email inboxes
Cal.comCall bookings and the questions asked at booking
Google / MicrosoftOur business calendar, and the video call if we use one
Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp)Job advertisements, application forms and candidate messaging
Google FontsServes the typefaces on this page

We do not sell personal information, and we never have. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not trade it for anything.

7. Where your information goes

We work across borders, so information necessarily crosses them. We are based in Bolivia, most of our clients are in the United States and Canada, and the services listed above store data mainly in the United States and the European Union. By contacting us you should understand that your information will be handled outside your own country.

8. How long we keep things

  • Enquiries and bookings that go nowhere — up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records — for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Job applications — up to 12 months if you are not hired, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Server logs — kept by our host on their own schedule, typically a few weeks.

9. What you can ask us to do

Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Send you a copy in a portable format
  • Stop contacting you

Email info@nearshoredesk.com and we will do it within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not make it difficult. Depending on where you live — for example California, Canada or the European Union — you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour those too.

10. Children

This website and our services are for businesses and for adult job applicants. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change it, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant — if we start collecting something new, or add a service that handles your data — we will say so plainly here rather than quietly editing a sentence.

Questions, or want your data deleted?

Write to us. There is no form to fill in and no ticket queue — a person reads every message and replies.
